Bringing Life To New Smyrna Speedway

During this quarantine, drivers from all around the country have been itching to get back behind the steering wheel of their machines, waiting to hear the word that tracks are back open. One track specifically, New Smyrna Speedway, the home of the World Series of Racing, is unlike any other. Known to host “Speedweeks” before the Daytona 500, locals and series drivers all gather to race around the half mile oval, which unfortunately was the last time we’ve seen the track active in 2020.

However, Vidane Racing has teamed up with numerous local competitors of the track, and iRacing veterans to spring a new life to the facility, but in a virtual manner. Starting Wednesday, April 29th, competitors will line up for a 9 week iRacing season, to compete for a championship. Using the Street Stocks, Tour Modifieds, and Super Late Models, Vidane will be cycling through each series, showcasing them for that particular week. “I think this will be a lot of fun, and will give us something to do while we can’t race in real life, and I’m excited for it”, David love mentioned, a competitor not only on iRacing, but at New Smyrna Speedway in real life. Expect to see local drivers such as Bruce Bennett, Michael Trocki, Anthony Sergi, Michael Goddard, James Adams, Daniel Dye, and calling the race will be “The voice of New Smyrna Speedway” Ryan Stevens, more. Also, iRacing veterans such as Ryan Matthews, Jarrett Bolyard, and Ryan Borges will be introduced to the race track for the first time, with some real life racing experience in other parts of the country. “I’m excited for this season, and after this, I need to make my way to Florida for a World Series event some time soon”, Ryan Matthew quoted, after winning an exhibition race held in the prior weeks.

We’re excited to give fans and drivers alike some entertainment on the race track during these unique times, and also give Vidane fans something new for them to look forward to on Wednesday nights. Be sure to tune into Vidane TV every Wednesday for the next 9 weeks on YouTube, Facebook, and right here on Vidane.net!
